Sharon Cheney was born and educated in Montreal, Quebec. Even from an early age she was fascinated by people. She could sense and imagine what they thought and felt. This interest was further developed through her training as an Occupational Therapist, her studies in Counseling Psychology, Metaphysics and Holistic Healing, her extensive travel experiences. All of these combined with her natural gifts of intuition and creativity, have given her an increased sensitivity and understanding into the nature of human beings.

Her belief in Jungian psychology is reflected in her sculptures, many of which depict the many faces of the Goddess and archetypes. Her oil paintings and pastels demonstrate her love of nature and her extensive travel experiences. Her pastel paintings often have a mysterious quality to them. The viewer can readily relate to the variety of feeling expressed in her work.

Her channeled energy paintings were designed to bring pleasure and heal the physical body as well as the spirit. Her energy paintings convey her desire to share her joy, healing energy, and intuitive gifts with others.

It is said that every piece of art is capable of an infinite number of relationships as each person sees art through their own eyes. Sharon invites you to find your own personal meaning in her work.
