October 2009 Knowledge Newsletter

Dear Friends,

If any of you doubt we are in a process of transformation, the crop circle image below graphically depicts this. This gigantic butterfly crop circle formation is the largest crop circle ever found (530 meters x 450 meters). It was discovered in Goes, Holland on August 8, 2009. This incredibly large butterfly with Da Vinci's “Vitruvian Man” in the center depicts the metamorphosis of our society. I don’t know who made this crop circle but considering its size, I don’t think it was made by two guys clumping through the fields at night. It suggests its makers are cognizant of our current state of transformation and indicates we are ready to birth a new consciousness.

The butterfly is symbolic of the process of evolution and transformation and is used in many cultures and traditions to symbolize the 'Psyche' or the 'Soul'. Below are some interpretations of what the butterfly symbol means in various cultures.

The image and information below were taken from this link: http://mayanprophecy2012.blogspot.com/2009/09/butterfly-crop-circle-netherlands.html

Transformation

The ancient Greeks depicted the spirit of a person as a winged stick figure. The interpretation of that symbol gave rise to the idea of the "Soul" or "Psyche" as a butterfly.

For Christians, the butterfly's three steps of metamorphosis – the caterpillar, pupa and winged insect are reminiscent of spiritual transformation. The caterpillar's incessant crawling and chewing reminds us of our earthly life where people are often wholly preoccupied with their physical needs. The chrysalis (cocoon) resembles a tomb and once empty, can suggest the shroud left behind by Jesus. The butterfly represents the resurrection into a new condition of life that is free of any material concerns. Adam's soul is symbolized by a butterfly or drawn with butterfly wings.

In paintings of Mary and Jesus, the presence of butterflies stands for their care of human souls. The Gnostics depicted the Angel of Death by showing a winged foot stepping on a butterfly. Since a butterfly is so fragile that it can be torn apart by a hard rain, the butterfly stands for human frailty, both moral and physical. Since its life is not a long one, it is also a symbol of the ephemeral nature of physical existence.

Among the Aztec and Maya, the god of cosmic fire Xiutecutli, is symbolized by a butterfly. Fire is considered the element of transformation. In traditional psychoanalysis, a dream or drawing of a butterfly is taken as a symbol of the client's imminent transformation.

Just as the butterfly exists in four distinct forms, so do we. The fertilized egg is planted in our mother's womb. From birth, we are like the caterpillar which can only eat and creep along. At death, we are like the dormant pupa in its chrysalis. After that, our consciousness emerges from the cast off body, and some see in this the emergence of the butterfly. Therefore, the butterfly is symbolic of rebirth after death.

The Butterfly Effect suggests the idea that one butterfly could eventually have a far-reaching ripple effect on subsequent historic events. Gregg Braden suggests in one of his videos on the Holographic nature of the Universe that one change anywhere in the hologram is mirrored throughout the Hologram.

This consistent belief in the meaning of the butterfly suggests to me we are birthing a new way of being; one that has long been predicted by many indigenous groups.

The Maya calculated that December 21, 2012 was the date that the world would end. Others suggest that December 21, 2012 is a time when we will experience a great transformation and birth a new consciousness. Since we are only a few years away from that date, it would make sense that, like the butterfly, we are going through many stages to prepare ourselves for this great transformation.

Do you remember when we entered the year 2000 and how the media predicted it might be the end of the world? It might have been for the credit card companies if they didn’t find a way to fix their computers so they could continue to bill us. Just as we survived the beginning of 2000, we will survive December 2012. We may be different, new and improved, but we will still be here.

I personally foresee that the world will not end but become a place where there will be a heart opening, where we will care for our fellowman, the planet and all its creatures. We will all experience telepathy and an opening of our intuitive abilities. We will switch from a “Them and Us” mentality to one of real brotherhood. Where wealth will be shared and the poverty of third world countries eliminated. This will not occur immediately on December 12, 2010 but in the coming years. It is my belief that a shift of this magnitude will take years to manifest fully.

So what can we expect to experience during this time of transformation?  We will experience shifts in our thinking and how we perceive people. We may prefer to spend time alone as we become more sensitive to other people’s energy or because we need time to reflect and make our inner changes which will later manifest in the physical world around us. Telepathy will be a normal method of communication and our psychic abilities will develop whether we try to improve them or not.

We will need to evaluate what we consider to be near and dear to us and decide what we are willing to let go of. We need to embrace the new and let go of old situations, people, forms of employment, relationships and so on. If you have suffered a loss of any sort, use this time to create something new. A loss is like a gift. It makes us questions ourselves and it forces us to go in new direction we may have been unwilling to pursue in the past.

In order to help ourselves transition through this time period, it is best to focus on what you would like to create instead of living in fear of what might happen.  Focus on what would you like your new life to look like rather than on your fear of change and letting go. Trust that you will be supported in your change. Saying affirmations such as “I trust everything will be okay” will help your body relax and help create your new reality, even if you don’t know what “okay” will look like.

It is a good time to set new goals even if you don’t achieve all of them. When you leave your home, you get into your car with the intention of going somewhere. On route you may be side tracked by a sale going on or you may remember something else you needed to do. What you don’t do is get into your car and drive around in circles. You leave your house with a plan or a destination. This approach also works well for your life. When you envision your future, think of some direction you want to go in. You may change your mind and that is fine. You may be delayed getting there and that is okay, but at least you have a plan and a direction.

Another good idea is to be proactive. Don’t just sit there and wait till something happens or then react to it. Why not be proactive and create change yourself through your intentions and actions. Ask for what you want. You may not get it but it certainly can’t hurt to ask. Don’t be fixated on who will respond to your call for assistance. Just be open to receiving to whatever comes along.

Take responsibility for creating the life you want. You know best what you want so don’t leave it up to other to make decisions for you that you may not like. If you are uncertain about what you want, sit down with yourself and explore the possibilities and then go out into the world and see if they are a good fit for you.

Give yourself permission to make new choices and try new activities. You may wish to hang out with more positive-minded people or spend more time alone. Making a plan for your life takes time. Meditation is a great way to receive insights.

Listen to your intuition as it will continue to open whether you like it or not. Remember intuition is the doorway to the emotions. Not everything can be solved with logic. Expect to be telepathic, which is mind to mind communication of thoughts over a distance, and or tele-empathetic which is transfer of emotions over a distance.

Forgive and forget. There is no point in holding onto old anger. It only holds you back from moving forward. It keeps you locked in the same old dance with the same old people. Aren’t you tired of that dance by now?

Most important of all, be good to yourself. Love and accept yourself completely because when you do, others will love and accept you just the way you are. We have been taught to treat others as we would like them to treat us. How about you treating yourself the way you would like them to treat you. You deserve it no matter what wrongs or mistakes you have committed in the past.

We can no longer live in the past. We must be present in every moment because that is where we create our future. So make sure your future does not land up looking like your past because that is where your focus is.

I know this advice may sound easy but for most of us it is difficult to change. I suggest you make changes slowly so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Remember what we resist, persists.
