January 2019 Knowledge Newsletter


Dear Friends,

We are now in 2019. Typically, this is the time of year to reflect on the past year and to plan for the future. Reflection is useful because it you are unaware of the reasons for your successes and failures, it will be hard to plan for the future.


Planning for 2019


Here are just a few questions you might want to reflect on:

What were your greatest successes in 2018?

What did you do that you are most proud of?

What changed for you in 2018 – emotionally, financially, physically or spiritually?

What caused these changes and were you happy with them?

What did you consider your greatest failures and why?

Where were you disappointed with your performance or feel like you failed?

Would you say your relationships improved, remained the same or deteriorated and with whom?

Has your attitude or emotional responses to challenging people and situations changed and if so, how has it changed?

Did you achieve the goals you set for yourself in January 2018 and if not, why not?  

What were your greatest challenges in 2018 and were you able to overcome them and how?

What challenges are you currently facing and how do you plan to address these challenges?


As I have mentioned in previous newsletters, we are entering a new consciousness on
planet Earth. This requires that you need to decide with what attitude you want to address the people and challenges in your life. You can continue to believe you will never succeed, that there will always be obstacles in your path, you don’t have what it takes, that you will always be dependent on others or hold other limiting beliefs.


Or you can decide what you want to have in your life and visualize that happening without going down the path of negative repetitive thinking. The choice is yours. 2019 will be filled with both negative and positive outcomes. It is you who will decide what will manifest in your life by your thinking and attitude.


The negative news we are exposed to regularly in the media provides us daily opportunities to decide how we will respond. You can choose to see only the negativity or you can pray for the positive outcomes you desire. Studies have shown that the more people who focus on the positive incomes they desire for 10-15 minutes together, the greater the chance of manifesting that result. So why not give it a try.


On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, how would you rate your contentment with yourself and your life in 2018? If you did not give yourself a high score, what number would you like to achieve in 2019 and how would you do that?


Here are some suggestions that might make your life more fulfilling and worthwhile:

Give up bad habits like smoking, drinking too much, taking recreational drugs and overeating.

Exercising regularly.

Spend at least 20 minutes a day in nature for as it is very calming and will make you feel happier.  

Set your priorities and adjust your schedule so you are not stressed out or extending yourself.

Improve your relationships by letting go of people who depress or drain you, don’t support you or are not positive.

Speak your truth, stand up for yourself and what you believe. This is guaranteed to make you feel better.

Be more emotionally intimate with yourself and others.

Spend more quality time with your family and friends.

Fulfill your life purpose. Helping others in some way not only benefits them, it makes you feel good.

Manage your finances better and get out of debt by realizing spending money you don’t have on some item that catches your fancy will bring you no more than momentary happiness and will put you further in debt.

Find inner peace and inspiration through daily meditation.

Be kind to yourself by putting yourself first and taking better care of yourself.

Find a new hobby or do something you really enjoy that inspires you.

Think positively all the time.

Forgive yourself and others.


Some of the above may seem daunting depending on where you are in on your life path. Remember, if you try any of the above and don’t succeed immediately, DON’T GIVE UP. Anything worth achieving takes time and effort and is worth the effort spent to get what you want.


Think of how good you will feel once you have achieved your goals. Break down your goals into small steps and acknowledge yourself for every little accomplishment. Get a friend or family member to support and encourage you when you feel you cannot go on. Life is only as difficult as you believe it to be.
